ENGLISH SILVER LAMP

An early 20th century English Silver lamp.

This was crafted in the early days of electric light and so was very much based on the light concept that everyone knew- candlesticks

This lamp is a particularly fine example by a very well known maker – Hawksworth and Eyre 

The column of the lamp is worked as a Corinthian column

The column is finely lined and the square base has gadroon detail
