2011 "FABRICATING FACTS, or Rampant Rumours"

Just the FACTS, ma'am-

yes, that is really, really the name of the George's 2011 34th Original Silver Plume Melodrama, but here are some useful facts to help you book your reservation:

2011 performance dates - weekends of April 2&3, 9&10, 16&17, 30& May 1, Easter weekend dark

Saturday Evenings Schedule - doors open at 6pm. Welcome announcement at 6.30pm. Buffet begins about 6.45pm. Melodrama begins about 8pm, concludes about 10pm.

Sunday "Matinee" - doors open at 5pm. Welcome announcement at 5.30pm. Buffet begins about 5.45pm. Melodrama begins about 7pm, concludes about 9pm.

Seating is on a "first come" basis - no reserved seating.

Buffet offers a sandwich and salad bar followed by a ice cream and brownie desert. The desert bar is announced and served separately from the buffet bar - no rushing the desert bar!

Coffee and Lemonade is offered throughout the evening. Guests are free to bring additional libations and/or hors d oeuvres.

Price is $30 for adults, $15 for children. A discounted price for those deeming themselves "Seniors" is offered on Sunday nights of $25 each. The child price is based on "less food, same seat" - we are sometimes negotiable.

Payment by check or money order in advance of performance is preferred. No credit cards. Cancellations refunded if in advance of the night's performance. No physical tickets are issued. Payment in check or cash accepted at the door.

Proceeds raised during the Melodrama are multiplied as they are used as "match" funds in our grant applications for restoration and maintenance of Silver Plume's historic and publicly owned buildings.

Thanks to you and the Melodrama efforts, our restoration projects have received funding from National Trust for Historic Preservation, Colorado Historic Society, Colorado Historic Fund, Colorado State Office of Local Affairs, the Boettcher Family Foundation, Young Family Foundation and other corporations and individuals.
